in this part i solved it by finding initial velocity when time=o and got the same answer, although the ms doesnt show my way..will i still get total mark?

In b section y we take 3.5 - 1 sec instead of 3.5 sec?

just wondering if we would get the marks writing vectors in the vertical way that you write them in or do i have to constantly transfer it to the normla way with i and j. For example in the ms it gives a mark for v= (4i-6j) whereas we have it written as a vertical vector of (4-6) would i need to transfer it to the i and j form or can i leave it as the vertical form? How will the examiner know that is what im talking about. thank you
