MSI GS63VR 4K Speaker Issue

Okay guys Uninstall Nahimac like i said previously, update your audio driver via device manager and install DFX Audio Enchancer, its $20 or you can probably find it free somewhere. It has speaker presets for all kinds of sounds or you can use a graphic EQ and dial in your own sound. I set mine to studio quality and the speakers sound great. I bought 3 of these laptops thinking that all of the speakers were blown and the stupid driver was the issue all along.

Just got mine and found your video because I was looking up the same issue. I noticed it pretty much right out of the box.
I would love to hear what MSI says about it! Maybe I could get mine fixed

I have this problem too.I've got the third replacement.it all three go same problem with that left speaker. Really disappointed I'm first with the msi.

Maybe it's meant to work better with headphones? How does it behave with them?

Im sorry to hear about the messed up speaker, sending laptops in can be a slow painful process. On another note what did you think of the uhd display? I've seen a review that found it only has a 300:1 contrast ratio which is terrible. I couldn't tell from the video though so maybe not the case for you.

I just returned my gs43vr to frys for the same issue.. Only one speaker was working and it sounded like it was completely blown.. I am sad to hear the 63 has the same issue because now I am not sure what my replacement will be.. I am considering the razer blade but they cost much more more the same specs..

It can easily be fixed by downloading a driver, no need to return. They all have the same problem for this model.

i just have this problem today, left speaker sounding blown out, i did all kind of way working with driver, but all that work did not help, so i made me think its actually a hardware problem. out of irritation i folded a soft paper and poke the left speaker, Tada problem fix, for now i guise. btw speaker from out of the box is already horrible.

my speakers are awful as well... the rest of the laptop is the best I've ever used. Considering I paid 1450 for it, I can live with it.

Just got the laptop today and same problem, left speaker sounds tinny, almost as if it's blown. Updated everything and couldn't fix it :(

I only have a single speaker working in mine and it sounds like it was blown already...

It's hard to hear how bad the sound is when you're watching this vid on a GS63. :-) The GS63 was an upgrade for me from the GS60 i had prior. I am thoroughly disappointed with the sound quality of the GS63 as compared to the GS60 or pretty much any other laptop for that matter. With all the reviews of this laptop it seems like one of them would at least mention the sub-par audio quality.

I've got the same issue with the left speaker having horrible distortion.. I took the device to the store today and tested 2 other ones - they had the exact same problem..Did anyone find a fix yet? (Of course I updated all the drivers on all the devices and tested it with and without the nahimic software..)

Try the new drivers from MSI.  The update software seems to work much better.  The speaker sound much better.

Hey Brian, Any update on this?  I picked one up early December and have the same left speaker issue, problem for me is that playing with levels doesn't do anything it seems.   MSI via their online messaging told me to exchange it, but I'm nervous I'll just get another one with a speaker issue.  Thanks!
