My father just took me to the garage and showed me his Gitane track bicycle from 1980's. Extremely light, but in great need for a full restoration.
"If you restore it, it's yours", he said... Your video proved me that a full restoration is possible. So I went up to my dad and told him "challenge accepted"... :-)

This is a very nice mix of new parts and repaired old parts. I would have liked to see the rims repaired with new spokes and polished up.

Another masterpiece. I was afraid of how the painted stem and handlebars would come out, but the result was sweet. I was surprised how the brown tape complimented the bike and made the colors pop. Awesome.👍🏼👍🏼

Finally a good paint work, and some stickers. Using primer and multiple colors, and a glossy varnish, the result is beautifull. Congrats, super nice job!

Bravo, un restauro ben fatto, economico e che ha salvaguardato parecchi componenti originali, temevo che la forcella facesse una brutta fine come accade in altri video dove il telaio viene conservato ma buttato tutto il resto.
