One big yuck for Ammonite. Why not honor this brilliant scientist by telling the truth! Filmmakers said they made the affair between the 2 women up. Another dagger into the heart of her life, as if the one she lived in real time wasn't bad enough. For shame.
Her work was stolen, not often acknowleged, plagiarized by her male peers. Her work was well known, but others took the credit and gained the respect and positions that were withheld from her.
The filmmakers could have gone down that more interesting path.
