What Pradeep is trying to convey is that Jovika in her story said she suffered a lot, was thrown out from a rich family, grew up as a middle class family but has designer clothes and accessories. So she is falsely portraying herself to gain sympathy votes. Praveen is talking about the game point of view and not the economical point of view that she is rich and he is poor. He is saying that the story she tells about herself isn’t correlating with her behaviour. So she isn’t true to herself or the task.
Besides whatever problems they faced was because of her mother’s actions. If she can talk about her single mother and being thrown out from her grandfather’s family, why cannot Pradeep talk about his lifestyle? Both are personal statements to gain sympathy votes.
