My friend used to know old back roads years ago (late 70's). This may have been one. I think we went on one off of a road in Scotts Valley that ended up Old Mount Charlie, off Bear Creek Rd. Ring a bell to anyone? Probably not there anymore. This was fun. Reminded me of as a small kid on the front of my dad's Harley, riding. Or maybe the Triumph. This was early 60's. Can't do that anymore! Thanks for these! I'll watch some more. 🙂

I'm in the process of running Zayante... I did another segment yesterday there and then onto a side road. Have a couple of more to connect up to Summit. I've already run Bear Creek, and the new trails just north of it that take you back down (on foot only). I ran Bear Creek this spring during the lockdown since there was very little traffic on it.

Try Schulties Rd, a bit of dirt, road closed in the middle, but you can squeeze by on a motorcycle. Check out the plaque at Laurel and the tunnel. Continue on Redwood Lodge rd. I didn't go down the stairs when I was there, was riding a scooter, LOL.

GREAT vid! Just did a middle school camp up there and our bus driver took the wrong rout. We had a 48 passenger bus. We ended up driving this exact stretch and then heading to bear creek rd. We all made it out safe, many times our bus rolled backwards, bottomed out and ripped up the road. Absolutely terrifying. I am almost positive buses aren’t supposed to be up there? Anyone have thought or info on that?

Hey man. Met you and your GF at the Summit Store this evening. Unfortunately, I had just dropped my good buddy, and long-time shop cat off for cremation.😪 I may have been a bit self-medicated 😐 Need to get the carb back on my 530EXC, and maybe join you on some of these local jaunts.Anyways, nice meeting you and yours, and til I get the KTM back up and runnin' watch for me in the Army Green 4Runner.

Nice video. The road has nice views nature but it’s narrow for driving a car. Motorcycle is ok
