SKETCHBOOK TOUR | Two Full Months of Observational Drawings in the Train Stations of London

Hey guys, here's is a sketchbook tour!
Nothing too fancy, these are observational drawings done during the first semester at the Master in Children's Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art (Autumn 2019). And as a personal project, I chose to draw about the train stations in London.
I really enjoyed working on this project and I miss drawing outdoors and in cafes!

I Love this sketch book tour, Jess! Thank you for sharing your Beautiful work! Love your use of color, too- Very Very Nice! I live in America in Washington state- pacific NW and I too find it a bit intimidating to draw people in public places, but I enjoy it so much, too. I draw animals mostly and beaches with marine life. It is Monday April 17th 2023 now 🎉

Not sure how I ended up here but I'm loving all of this! I cant draw unless it's from a photo. Like even a static object in front of me I need a photo of it to work from lol. Maybe when the weather gets better I'll try going to the park at lunchtimes and see how I fare with moving subjects and not worrying about every tiny detail. The two-tone pages towards the end of the sketchbook were my absolute favourites! Especially the teal/pink one! real wintery vibe

Those were great Jess I thought I saw an American werewolf wondering through the Liverpool station drawing. Are you familiar with Simon Stalenhag and his books, I guess His book Electric State is maybe his most famous but he takes pics and reworks them adding in digital art. It's pretty neat stuff.

Loved your sketchbook tour. It's nice to see places I recognise 😁 and the styles of drawing is great. I started a little observational sketchbook on a holiday but I was so slow, I ended up just taking photos and sketching them in the evening instead.

I really loved seeing these sketchbooks Jess! It was so cool to see your progress and you can see the confidence incre3asing with each drawing. I really love the contour drawings and also the one you said was weird with the third colour, I actually loved that one! Oh, and the VEGAN one because vegan is cool 🤣 I would love to draw in public one day, but I am so nervous to try it!
