Показать описание
The PE Chef’s 5 Components of Fitness is a series of lessons and activities based on the Fitnessgram Health Related Fitness Components.
For each component there is a:
Challenge: This is intended to be an opener, the lesson begins with a real world application of the fitness components (Flexibility- Yoga Pose Challenge, Muscular Endurance- Plank Challenge, Muscular Strength- Boxing Circuit Challenge, Aerobic Capacity- City Run Challenge, and Body Composition- Healthy Habits Challenge.
Explainer: An informative video on the theory behind each component.
This or That: A class wide knowledge check, each question has a standing and a floor exercise, so teachers can gauge if their class is retaining the information on a large scale, eg. If the majority of the class are on the ground, but the answer is incorrect, it may require a reteach.
Formative Quiz: At the bottom of each lesson there is a formative quiz that students can test their knowledge by answering 5 questions and receiving instant feedback after submitting. There is also a “Force Copy” button if teachers wanted to collect student answers for their grades.
Finally there is a which component This or That, where students decide which component different exercises are, this is intended to the penultimate activity before students finish with a 25 question summative assessment, again with instant feedback and force copy options.
Hope you find it useful, and we always appreciate feedback.
