I'm into photography, and I tell people who obsess over these camera phones, they will never come close to DSLR and HD camcorder quality. It's practically impossible, phone companies can keep dreaming if they ever think they can overthrow professional photography with a phone. Most camera phones aren't even as good as the most basic of HD camcorders and HD cameras. You don't see commercials filmed on phones, they don't film Hollywood films on cell phones. I wish people would get a clue.

I've seen footage from a Samsung Galaxy and the iPhone 5. They do look great, but they will never come close to DSLR or HD camcorder quality. It's impossible, and Sony has come out with camcorders that can record MP4 format footage and be uploaded to the web, in much higher quality. I'd much rather have that, from an actual camera that will provide me with years of use, versus a phone that gets obsolesced in about a year. BTW, I like your profile pic, you got me.

That wasn't the original footage this was a re-enactment with actors as you can tell. The picture is too clear also the man making the call is not Martin Cooper back then if you've seen pictures of him back then you can tell.

I'm getting one of the new Sony wifi enabled camcorders with balanced optical steady shot. A camcorder that can actually upload footage to the web, and can take 20.4MP still images in true HD. So, problem solved.
