Why do we need an Emergency Stop Push Button Switch for an Electrical Machine ?
Although a stop switch button is available on an electrical control panel, a rather dangerous complex machinery like a conveyor belt, requires an additional and easily accessible #emergency_stop button, to prevent a dangerous situation immediately.
Therefore, one or more emergency stop push buttons are a must near the operator and the nearest supervisor, when operating these equipment.

The general basis of wiring an emergency stop button for a non-intelligent equipment is to use the N/C contact as a main switch of the whole control circuit. Multiple E-stops should be wired in series so they operate in NOR logic - One button pushed, control power interrupted, all relays released, all motors de-energized.
For some intelligent equipments with PLC's, things can be different. It's possible that some E-stop buttons are included in a detection loop of the safety relay, which cuts off power to actuators and tells PLC to pause its work, pop up a trouble code and not to resume unless an extra manual resetting signal is received (by pressing "Trouble Reset" or even entering an admin password)
