Once you've read it, follow up with Jean Rhys's Wide Sargasso Sea, which applies a post-colonial, feminist lens (circa 1966) to the novel and opens up another important line of discussion--a great literary pairing for book clubs willing to go the extra mile.

I’m currently reading this and I’m in 200 page mark. I have experienced the opposite. I found the first 100 pages to be more interesting and page turner than the next 100 pages at Thornfield. But I’ll keep reading!
