Not getting attached to your base and loot is a great tip, the first couple times I got raided by people way more built than me, I got very angry. I forgot I was playing just to have fun

I never though i could die more then 200 times on one server this is fun i wonder if theres is a trophy for dying a lot

I actually un-ironically love the last tip. It will be by far the most useful! Always keep in mind that in a game like rust you can always come back from the worst! And you are supposed to lose sometimes

Good tips for beginners, or people with basic bases.
Rush barrels smash em
Collect rope for cotton and tarp dont bother finding hemp.
Find a scrap station, lighthouse is good i find generally.
This is an easy way to get the basic clothes and bow, banadages etc.
The tunnels have some pretty useful gear down there but you'll have to fight the dwellers which have aggressive and accurate aim. Great for scrap runs.
You can also jump down the elevators hug the wall and spam jump and not die.
Have a basic house until you can get enough scrap for a fortified wall. Its not worth investing walls on base if your doors are trash imo.

For tip 19 you can also get crude oil and wood you can use a oil refinery to make low grade (you can find it at bandit camp)

Just started playing this and my neighbours are a massive clan with a huge base with fuck tons of auto turrets etc and they helped me move my house and stuff closer and even gave me heaps of supplies and my own turret.
The clan knows about me and I wear a pumpkin on my head so they know it’s me and not to shoot.

I just ate all my neighbors pumpkins then destroyed his plants, he tore my base down so we're still not even.

Me and my friends found a nice little rock outcropping, and set up a base. Little did I know that I set up right next to an outpost, satellite, and airfield. So far in 1 day have got raided once, gonna be an interesting wipe

Tips i’ve got maybe not mentioned in vid:
1. Make stone base immediately
2. Make your first base small and preferably next to a big tribe that’s not toxic (I always get away with being in the area cause they don’t think i have anything)
3. Play naked when spying. If they roof camping they will kill you and you will lose loot so come with naked loot.
4. Make tools immediately to gather resources, then a base, then a bow and spear and some gear but after that make base.
5. Always loot crates and go to monuments when getting radiation proof equipment
6. If someone is raiding you, always wait for them. Never attack the attacker.
7. when you die to a player, don’t even think about getting your loot back, accept it it’s wasted time to go for it.
8. Hide the fact you’ve got guns and hazzies if your neighbours to bigger groups.
9. Don’t talk to anyone when running up on them, always go for the kill never make small talk with someone in the open.
10. (Last tip i’ve got time to write) When you get the loot run. Just run for it don’t think for a second that if you wait he will come back and you will “Make a play”. Your not blooprint or frost your just braindead at that point

I keep trying to make friends with my neighbours they are also solos want someone to team with to try get near end game but I always find naked people at my door with spears thinking they can raid 🤣

Db nerd sat at my base for 2 hours before leaving. If you are having troubles with this, use a camp fire and use it. If you have 75 comfort, someone is near

Yesterday someone found me & my sister farming mats, & he comes over with a shotty, says “I’m gonna kill ya both”, as i pull out my metal axe to try & knock this dude, he throws us a gun, ammo, food, & mats, says “actually for you guys I’ll give ya this stuff”. then leaves. I was so ready to knock the kid with my axe 😂
