Hi, you really have to push on the charger clip sometimes and try also some right-left moves ... It should work ! I had a hard time at the start with my coils too ;)

Yep, believe me ive tried everything. Even took pics to verify pins are in contact, took coil cover off to try, and nothing. Wiggled it, tried both ways on clamp although the incorrect way misses contact points completely. But yes ive tried it all and some.

Oll never buy xp products again. I bought a new ORX it lasted 2 hours at the most and Took a Dump. Went out and bought a Minelab equinox and I'm good too go. Screw XP

You gotta connect the battery bud. Can’t charge a coil without it. It slinkies to a two prong twist off connection.

Try to wiggle the charger clip alittle bit... sometimes the little prongs on the clip dont always contact the coil properly

What did you finally end up doing? Did they send you a new detector. I've had the early XP Deus for like 5 years without any major problems.I will admit that that Clothes Pin charging clip is a pain in the butt and you often have to fiddle with it to get it to work properly.I even had trouble with the Detecting Doodads orange charging block, which I quit using.

The charger clip was on backwards making the +/- charge ports make the wrong wire is supposed to run away from the coil not across it
