Archer is the biggest MVP of all time no matter the fate route

Just look at his face while pets Rin, he is overflowing with love and pain for saying goodbye to his love (since archer persona is most probably similar to shirou from UBW and/or FATE than the HF)

This scene is archer's character comming full circle and him going back to being Shirou. First he has his beautiful scene with Rin, and then he choses to sacrifice himself to save another. Truly an amazing character

I have this little head cannon that UBW Archer is Fate route Shirou as it’s canonically explained that of the 3 Stay Night routes, the Fate route is the one that Archers timeline best resembles. So essentially Archer in UBW is Fate Route Shirou, and here in Heavens Feel, Archer is actually UBW route Shirou and this is mainly due to my interpretation of Archer seeing Shirou take Illya’s hand and swearing to protect her, something he (UBW Shirou) failed to do or even attempt in his timeline, as well as how he caressed Rin’s hair as he says goodbye, something I find pretty intimate and caring that would best fit UBW Shirou since he does get with Rin in the UBW route. Then there’s stuff like Archer preventing Caster from using Rule Breaker on Saber which if my head canon is followed, basically references and hints towards Shirou’s regret over allowing that to happen so he’s now basically fixing his mistake.

Overall, I guess to finish this head canon off is that Archer in the Fate Route would then be Heavens Feel Shirou, essentially making it go full circle as each Archer is Shirou from the other route.

Edit: Please remember that this is a HEADCANNON, meaning that it’s not a theory or something that is necessarily true but rather is something I like to believe in for fun. I know it’s not canon, but I still like to think of this because, again, it’s fun.
