My RT was the same way hope you didn’t get the trans wet inside with the power washer like I did

That looked recently parked in an area with floating soft dirt. I have 1975 R60/6 and it sure didn't clean up like that. I've spent about 100 hours scouring with kerosene, bar tenders friend, soda blasting etc...nothing too aggressive but the aluminum castings don't magically clean themselves. It's easier in the long run to vapor blast it with the correct media but the Lester mag wheel i bought is worth taking the time to remove the oxidized aluminum.
