I didn't follow Basketball much growing up and still don't. But I know MJ never said that. Plus i watched a Documentary on Muggsy. He was underestimated by teammates and opponents, but his Mother told him not to let anyone underestimate him. He set a great example to not let anyone get the best of him

Jordan didn’t destroy Muggsy’s career, and *certainly* not with petty name calling that Muggsy must’ve heard 10, 000 times in his life before then — IF the supposed incident ever happened, which Muggsy says not.

If anything “destroyed” Bogues’ career, it would be the chronic knee problems. And Muggsy ended up playing 14 seasons total — with this alleged “midget” incident happening about halfway through his career.

Besides, *Space Jam* was conceived as a Michael Jordan movie vehicle, and so Jordan was certainly involved in choosing which NBA players got asked to be involved — MUGGSY ended up with one of the featured roles as a player whose *talents were stolen by the Monstars* to be used to give these aliens skills to play the game. Do you really think Muggsy would have been cast if Jordan had NO respect for his game ?

Muggsy had a serious knee injury that caused him to miss all but 6 games in 96. His knee cartlidge had removed to the point it was all gone by the end of his career. In 97 Muggsy played 65 games averaging 8.0 ppg and 7.2 ast. That was over a year affer that series happened. So this "Jordan ruined Muggsy's career" narrative is a lie. Like Muggsy said he played 7 years afier that series. He even said Jordan never even said that. Muggsy is from the streets of Baltimore, he has heard and seen alot worser than that. Stop it.

This is fake news. MJ actually is on record at his own training camp saying nothing but nice things about Muggsy to the kids and even using him as an inspiration for the kids at the camp. He literally said, "Muggsy was the fastest player I've ever seen." Also Muggsy himself has disputed that name-calling story saying it never happened.
