From the Winter 2017 issue of Fly Tyer magazine, Frank's Fire Scud is a simple pattern that can be effective for trout in any water, any time of year. The pattern was created by Frank Leto of Haverford, PA.
Hook: #12-16 scud
Bead: Silver, 2.8 mm
Weight: 0.015" (optional)
Thread: Red or tan
Shellback: Body stretch
Rib: Clear monofilament
Body: Rainbow sow scud dubbing
