3D Printing is being hyped by some bloggers as possibly enabling some type of peer-to-peer device printing revolution. I'm not totally sure about that. But as all the worlds consumer electronics and pretty much everything that we use in our lives most likely has been 3D printed while the industrial designers, architects and all creative creators think up, design, improve upon all the devices that we use. Upcoming new more affordable 3D Printers such as Cubify's $1299 Cube 3D printer, printing in PLA or ABS plastics, allows more people to take part in the process of thinking up, 3D printing all types of mockup, molds, 3D print basic forms that possibly also can be used in certain basic circumstance.

It seems really slow, but on the other hand you get amazing results in the end, with smooth surfaces, unlike some other faster 3d printers today.

I'd print another printer and use the printed printer to print another printer, and then use all 3 printers to printer another 3 printers, and then 6, then 12 and I've got my own business.

actually, the plastic is recyclable. The only nongreen print material ironically is 3D Systems cartridge system because although it is reyclable in theory, most/many people wont in practice recycle the cartridge containers. It is also very expensive. Don't buy 3DSystems consumer printers, they are suppressing industry innovation through lawsuits and forcing people to use their expensive and inefficient large 3D printers through service bureaus, such as their cubify.com service.
