2) "Mirror device", half way down under "Additional".

I notice the initial display does not cover the entire TV screen, around 1:55 to 2:04 it is smaller. But around 2:08 it zoomed in suddenly covering the entire TV screen. How did you do it?
Another thing is that is it possible on FB messenger video calls? will the video call display on the entire TV screen? I wanted to use my son's phone instead of my laptop to make video call but I worry if the mirrored image/video will be small.

Hello Brett.. need to know if I can take a samsung tablet with a Chrome cast device and 1: connect the VPN- canada 2: open an app with the TV channels in Canada 3: select the channel i want to watch and mirror it with the Chromecast on the tv . My neighbor do that with a IPAD and a Apple TV . Thanks

Man I've tried everything but my google home app doesn't have that layout and cast option right there on top as you have shown. I'm trying to set it up for my parents and they're running android 5.0. Is this why?

When you mirror you are only burning enough data for Chromecast to download the player, correct? The actual content displayed on the screen is only going from your phone (or tablet, pc, whatever) to the Chromecast over the local wifi, correct? That is important if you are using your phone as a hotspot and data is limited.

Hi Brett! Not sure you are checking this post, but just bought a Chromecast (January 2022) as I was advised this was the only way to mirror my phone onto my TV. I have a Samsung Smart TV and Samsung Phone (a52). I cannot find any mirror or cast function on the Chrome Cast App on my phone. Is this feature even on the newest Chromecast? When talking about android version I assume that we are talkingabout the original installed version. I got an unused samsung Galaxy 8+, ( basic version ) 4.4.111 but also says Android version 9 in the system folder. Is this phone just worthless to use with chromecast?
