Does the controller need to be wireless and not connected with the console? Because when i try move with the controller it shows on my tablet but not on the monitor that my tablets screen is showing on

Using pixel 5 and xbox one S .

It just says 'no nearby devices were found' . Or in the settings menu. Cast 'not connected'
.. 😢😢 this would be so cool if it worked!!
Any ideas on why it wont work ?
It does say on the xbox wireless display app ' this device might have trouble displaying content because its hardware wasn't specifically designed for wireless protection' .. but im using xbox one series S . According to the title of this tutorial ..

Does the xbox have to be wireless as well.

Control center? You mean drop down ? Smart view ? I don't have a screen cast icon and I have never seen a layout like your phone has in this video . I'm assuming I'll need the same app for the phone as well

Does not work at all. Tried 10 times in a row restarting the app, turned the "Casting" button on & off, NOTHING works. BOTH my phone AND Xbox One are indeed on the EXACT SAME network, but it always fails to connect even with my phone 1 cm away from the box to 3 ft away from it, nothing works, period.

how to connect it with keyboard and mouse since the message bout connecting it tells me to hold the xbox button and when i do so, it dissapears.
