AI has made it so much easier for me to dive into programming and actually start the projects I have ideas for. Once I hit a wall or it gets too complex then I can deep dive and learn what's actually going on with the code. AI is so good at explaining and teaching without being overwhelming.

AI is getting so much better. Still won't replace programmers, but may eventually redefine what a programmer does. More high level specification; less tedious coding and debugging.

Anyone else think it’s odd these companies apparently would rather have their models make up links and lie about it, than allow them to read websites? Or that they only allow that in all the wrong contexts?(summarizing google results. It’s always google)

It's clear that AI and its associated tools are going to rapidly improve, but the impact on people and society is still unclear. We tend to devalue things that are easy, and suddenly a lot of things that were hard to do are becoming easy.
