This is such good advice. I lost 90 lbs 10 years ago in a very short time (about 6 months), and I never did any exercise! Truly, none! I sit at a desk all day at work and go home at night, and that's it. But at that time I was 250 lbs, and decided I needed to completely change my diet because of many health problems. I somehow became hooked on salad. I don't know how, because I never thought much of it before. Suddenly. I was LOVING salad, and ate it for lunch and dinner! Rarely had breakfast. I lost so much weight - so fast - it was incredible (I don't recommend doing it that way because it is too much, too fast!! Lots of issues. Had to had gall bladder removed after two attacks of pancreatitis.) After a few years and finally getting sick of salad, I had only gained about 20 lbs back. Then Covid hit, and that messed me up bad. Now I'm trying to figure out what to eat since I actually cannot eat salad anymore! It just makes me sick to look at it. Have gained an extra 30 in the last two years and it's upsetting.

Ty so much. I was undecided about Golo. I think that just cutting down and exercise is the proper way to go. I’m 61 so I’m not going to over exercise but I plan on eating more healthier and cutting down on sweets

Golo worked for me. On March 7, 2017 I weighed 289 started the Golo Program, by March 8, 2018 I weighed 165, so I lost 124 lbs. So yes Golo does work. It is a life style change to eating healthy!

I struggle to loose weight even with healthy eating and exercise. My mother is the same. We have hypothyroidism and it’s maintained with medicine. My mother prepared for and ran the LA Marathon two years in a row with a healthy diet and different forms of training. She lost no pounds or inches. I’m pretty much the same way. Only an extreme calorie deficit makes me loose weight but as soon as I go up to a normal calorie count it all comes back. The last time I went to 1, 000 a day and then up to 1, 200 to “maintain” after hitting my goal weight and immediately started gaining again. That was the most extreme I’d ever done and won’t do that again. I’ve done nearly 7 hours of cardio a week with added ankle weights and still no weight loss. If you have another suggestion besides just healthy eating and exercise I’d love to try it because those go to’s haven’t helped me.

I love your suggestion about tracking calories for a week then subtract 500! Brilliant! I've been keeping a spreadsheet tracking Calories, sat. fat, sodium, carbs, fiber and sugar for years. It's a pain in the caboose! But I get horrible cravings at night so it pretty much blows my healthy eating during the day. I have elevated BP and high Triglycerides which is why I watch my sat fat and Sodium. I workout 5-6 days a week for at least 1/2 hour but it's those darn cravings! How do I break that bad habit? I'm also post menopausal. Is it worth tracking all these things? Definitely going to check out more of your videos & subscribe

Amen.I agree! Gotta do a healthy diet and lifestyle with a deficit to lose.. I have Hashimotos and am in menopause which makes it very difficulty to lose weight! Even though I only need to shed about 15 pounds. .it is extremely challenging! I eat fairly healthy and exercise daily! Any further advice to help?

I'm 49 had a heart attack 2 yrs ago heart problems runs In my family lost my father 53 sister 35 an my mother 59 so i was doing good lately going back to my habits i weight 217 i want to get down to 200 it's hard so I'm giving this a try with immediate fastening an exercise

pcos is a insulin resistant issue and pre diabetic .. what do you suggest . berberine.. What about cortisol spikes to insulin

A guy I work with lost 48 pounds taking nothing but golo. No diet change or anything. I seen the results myself so I ordered a bottle. It may work for some and not others. But I can't be convinced it doesn't work when I seen it with my own eyes

Hi Doc, i was about to order Golo since they put TV commercials on all the time with people who lost weight so i thought, what have i got to lose till i saw you video and comments. What about Keto any videos from you on that?. I am 50 pounds over weight with bad knees.

There are no long term diets. If that existed then Weight Watchers would be out of business by now. It's a lifestyle adjustment with food that is sustainable.
