Industrial Energy Transformation Fund, Phase 3 Consultation

Показать описание
The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), in collaboration with Innovate UK KTN, will be hosting a webinar on Wednesday 5 July to present the proposed scope and delivery mechanism for the £185m Phase 3 Industrial Energy Transformation Fund (IETF).
The IETF supports businesses with high energy use to transition to a low carbon future, and to cut their energy bills and carbon emissions through increased energy efficiency and decarbonisation relating to the industrial process itself. It is a crucial part of the Government’s strategy for tackling climate change and reaching Net Zero by 2050. This was demonstrated by the announcement in the Powering up Britain publication that Government will launch Phase 3 of the IETF worth up to £185m in 2024 (subject to business case approval).
This consultation event will present the proposed scope, eligibility rules and application process for the Phase 3 competitions to ensure that the IETF is still fit for purpose and will enable industrial sites in England, Wales and Northern Ireland to decarbonise their industrial processes.
Delegates will have the opportunity to ask any questions during the webinar to gain clarity on the proposed competitions before they submit their views through the formal consultation process. There will also be an opportunity for delegates to provide comments through facilitated discussion groups.
The webinar will benefit organisations who may wish to make an application to Phase 3 when it opens in 2024, including industrial sites who have not been able to take advantage of the programme in Phases 1 and 2.
The webinar will be of interest to;
Industrial companies of all sizes
Mining and quarrying companies
Recovery and recycling of materials companies
Data centres
Energy efficiency and decarbonisation technology providers
Finance providers
Local Authorities
