Classic Cal Expo Monorail Complete POV

The Cal Expo Monorail winds its way slowly through the California Exposition Park in Sacramento California! This monorail system, which opened in 1969 operates only during the California State Fair, sitting idle for 11 months out of the year.

The ride costs $5 per person, except for kids who are free. In past years they have run three monorail trains at a time but this year (2016) they only ran 2 trains at a time.

I wish Cal Expo was a year round theme park that was the same quality as Knott’s Berry Farm and Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.

I love these systems (I've only riden the one at Hersheypark). The shape of the trains is great.
