Oh My, I totally agree about the red snappers not getting along with the blue clamps. Thank you so much for solving that problem. I'm going to do things differently now, thanks to you.

I use a staple shaped expandable curtain rod with a pool noodle on it where you use the dowel rod.

I had just learned about putting a rod or yard stick anther the clamp cords. Hitting those clamps is so frustrating. I really like your snapper clips used on the end. Thanks for these great tips.

Thank you for explaining how you switched leaders to accommodate using the idler rail.

Leah! I love watching your tutorials. You make everything look so much easier by the way you take your time explaining and illustrating. Thank you also for letting me know that’s ok to modify things to accommodate MY needs! I was always trying NOT to bend the rules! Now I know my quilting will be more fun and easier with my next project t! You are awesome!

Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. I am learning as I go and you have certainly helped me along the way. I just started floating and it is much better. I do need to add the idler rail. I watch your video as I load and am doing much better.

Another great video. I am still getting used to loading the quilts into the frame the traditional way, but if it doesn’t work too well I will consider learning to do it this way. Also, I guess we need another rail to load it this way. Thank you!

Brilliant ldg...& usage of snappers. I use dowels too. Try cotton ball & rubbing alcohol on removal of sticky rail.

Thank you so much for this tip.I am constantly fighting with the shortest leader on the top rail. It is constantly coming off the velcro and the blue and pink clamps are popping off because the Red Snapper is in the way.
Do you have problems with the Quilt top not staying square on the frame since you float the batting and the Quilt top? I will go buy some dowels to put under the side clamps. Please continue with these tips. I learn so much.

So, I am confused. I have the idler rail and a 21" Q'nique and I am pinning and I am floating and using the blue clamps. I understand that I want the medium leader cloth on the take up rail and the long leader cloth on the bottom front rail and no cloth on the front top rail. Which way do I attach the two cloths if I am pinning the bottom rail at the front of the frame and the take up rail at the back of the frame??
