From what I’ve heard Oli was drunk, and the way he was walking certainly looked like it. His explanation was he got up on a table in hopes for better sound, because he wasn’t getting any sound in his earpiece, which to an extent I can believe because this performance didn’t sound well mixed, so there was for sure some audio difficulties. However, I totally think Oli did this just because he was drunk, he was pissed off, they were rocking out to Happy Song, and he was thinking “fuck Coldplay.” He said it just happened to be Coldplay’s table he stood on, but I doubt it.

I don’t care if it was called disrespectful, it was metal as fuck and bold, and it caught major attention. What would have made it ten times better is if Oli’s voice was healed as it is today, so he could’ve screamed to his full potential. Partly I think that’s due to him being drunk, but I’m not sure if he would’ve done this had he not been drunk.

am i the only one who think that they saw an opportunity to get in the news and they took it? like they said themselves the only award they ever get is kerrang ones and hey ho they are at nme for the first time and hmm who should they use in their ploy what about one of the biggest talked about Coldplay who also know how to take a joke, and of course no one will suspect because they will put it down to 'revenge' for the past beef-that-wasn't-even-beef with the sempiternal symbol, and not just bmth saying 'hey lets see if we can use this opportunity to be bigger'. After all what award should they win at the show, none other than the 'Innovative' award, i mean I'm a new fan of bmth but even i have heard of their past tricks and smarts to inch further, its why they have done so well imo fair play to them. And if by chance it was just bmth being dicks then ok, well is there just no room for any 'attitude' or 'rock n roll' anymore? even if i didnt like them, i crave to see a bit of freaking personality from artists now other than choreographed fake bullshit time again, all art should be uncensored and music is doomed if they wanna suppress stuff like this even if in bad taste. *Btw i love bmth and i love coldplay.
