10 Years Milky Way Timelapse Compilation | 8K HDR

In 2014, I shot my first Milky Way timelapse. It wasn't good, but at that moment, I fell in love with it and wanted to improve. After 10 years since that first timelapse, I wanted to create a compilation of the best astro timelapse I've shot. I still have a lot to improve and editing this compilation made me realise that I want to shoot more in dark locations worldwide and create more Astro timelapse!

It's so surreal seeing the sun as just another star in space, because that's exactly what it is. We just happen to be so close to it that it dominates our sky and provides us with enough light to be called "daytime".

I love being able to think about the universe in this way. It really puts into perspective that which we take for granted, but instead of emphasizing its importance, renders everything and everyone equal. Our closest star is the sole reason for our very existence, yet ultimately is just about as insignificant as every other star in the observable universe which is so immense that our feeble minds aren't even able to fully comprehend it.
