I met her I think once... I didn't know who she was. It was before the song "missing" came out. I was like 21. We were at this underground party in south San Francisco. Danced all night. So fun. She sang that song to me as the sun came up. When it came on the radio a few years later I was like what?? I know that girl... it's her. Unmistakable voice and lyrics. I loved the song and thought wow. That's amazing. She looked like her too when I saw her videos. Pretty cool :) I played that album over and over and over back in the day. Great album. Where are they now?

In 1994 I was 35. By then I was listening to classic rock, blues and jazz. I met this girl who was 24 and she had this CD. I will never forget listening to this the first time: late at night, in bed, the moonlight filling the room, her head on my shoulder singing every word of this album to me while she played with my chest hair. One of the best nights of my life.

EBTG got me through the breakup of my first marriage due to my other halfs adultery. It totally tore me apart at the time and took until the late 90s before I really recovered a sense of myself.
