You know what it is, Troy. It's Jerry's micromanaging. You witnessed it when Jimmy left. I get it; you can't say it because you want to maintain the relationship with Jerry.

You can't have a team lead the league in penalties and also be a well coached team. That's an oxymoron.

As a lifelong Cowboy fan, saying they are "talented" is fuel for the front office to continue their mediocrity. The entire division hasn't had a repeat champion for 17 years. The Cowboys are a "talented" team when they are playing a 3rd or 4th place schedule, then they become an "underachieving" team when they have to play a first place schedule. Lack of depth, glaring holes in the starting lineup, and coaching that has a hard time covering up the blemishes has been a problem for two decades and counting.

Lets be real, there will never, ever ever be another Cowboy team like that 90`s dynasty.

HOW does a "very well coached team" commit SO MANY STUPID PENALTIES?!?

Well coached does not lead the league in penalties and be one yard away from having the most penalty yards in a season. Two games with fourteen penalties is not well coached.

The Cowboys are dead from the neck up: coaching and management.

The Cowboys will never get back to the SB as long as Jerry is running the show.

coaching is a problem of the cowboys as confirmed by what we saw from the cowboys this season.

I think it is worth saying that the 49ers were overlooked in this game - not by everyone - but by all the fans who were in disbelief after this loss. The 49ers kept the Packers to 10 points and they could have beaten the Rams to be in the Super Bowl. The 49ers were playing better down the stretch and winning against better teams. Dallas was beating the Eagles backups and thinking it meant something after losing to every other meaningful out of division opponent they faced. The Cardinals, Cheifs, Raiders, Broncos and Bucs all beat them. The only meaningful non-division wins were early in the season.

Cowboys fan since I was 10. Super Bowl XII. What Jimmy did to build that team was amazing! As an owner you don't screw around with that!

It's Jerry. It's always been Jerry and will always be the reason the Cowboys haven't won a championship in 26 years.

There is one and only one consistent factor in the past 25 years of the Dallas Cowboys.

This isn't rocket science. When you look at the last time the Cowboy's were truly successful was when Jimmy J was head coach....When Jerry's ego got in the way and Jimmy J Cowboy's have been consistent failures ever since. Plus his VERY bad contract deals with Elliott, Prescott, add all these things up and it boils down to Jerry is an AWRFUL GM and if he were NOT the OWNER of the team he would be fired at GM Decades ago....The Cowboys are only going to be worse for 2022 because Jerry overpaid players and now has to watch good players walk during free agency. Paying Dak that retarded amount of money is going to haunt the Cowboys for another 3 years. Look at all the talent Dak had around him in the wildcard game and he could NOT even score over 20 Points??? The defense did their job. If Brady, Rodgers or Russ Wilson were QB that game, the Cowboys win.

"Troy for General manager"
"Troy for General manager"
He needs to take a place in their organization. He knows his ish and would be dedicated to the Brand for sure. Yes some changes need to be made, let's start with the front office and work our way down the line.

It’s the curse of Jimmy Johnson - put him in the Ring of Honor and we will be Super Bowl Champions again….

Coaching is part of the problem. Bad decisions, bad play calls, undisplined team. The other big problem, Jerry Jones, he meddles too much. He has also given out some awful contracts. Dak, Elliot, and Cooper are very good players, but they are being paid like elite players. For their money they should be playing like Rodgers, Henry, and Kupp.

Jones got too much success early and it went to his head. He figured winning SB's was easy, teams will line up to give their draft picks for a RB, and you will pluck HOF players in the 6th round every year.
Doesn't work like that.

Troy know what's wrong with the Cowboys. Having played in the league, and working as a analyst it's no way he would not know.
