great rhythmic analysis, would love a breakdown of the actual recording of the break, please consider this. the amen is one of the trickiest breaks for replicating sound wise that exists, it's really an oddball in terms of sonics, the only way to get the 'sound' of the amen is to sample it.

why is it that nobody hasn't re recorded this break ? Is sound engineers these days so dumb that they don't know how the sound was recorded or what. I haven't heard even one that have come close to the original sound. Anybody can play it, but nobody can't record drums to sound like it.
