It's still using over 100 mb of memory, which is taking up a lot of memory percentage. I'm running a crappy laptop with 8gb of memory, but it still says 44%. How do I stop it from using memory (almost) completely??

I'm afraid this did not work. I'm using my computer right now and the Anitmalware Service Executable is currently using 80% of my RAM (I have 16GB of RAM)
Checked the comments and someone said to turn off "Run on High Privileges". I've done this too and no luck. Any suggestions?

If you struggle to find it:
Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Task Scheduler. The rest is easy. You can find the control panel using the search bar from the Start Menu. Using Win 8.1 over here. So you may get confused a bit.
