I remember my dad playing this album when I was a small boy . Dad has passed but through this song I remember him .

Today I was thumbing through a copy of 'National Geographic' magazine from 1928 and saw an advert for Canadian Pacific. I remembered this song from way back when and thats why I'm here.

Canadian Pacific Railway: such a huge part of Canadian federation and the opening up and settlement of, especially, Western Canada. Great history. Also a terrific song by George.

Really Loved Canada took the Rocky Mountaineer in2016 along the tracks of the CP from Vancouver passing through Lake Louise to Banff. brilliant, trip then a
rental car to Jasper then back to see the spiral tunnels at Kicking Horse Pass, back via Calgary and plane to Toronto wish I could do it again, but crippled by a stroke so cannot drive anymore

Canadian Pacific is a railroad serving Canada and the American Midwest through its subsidiaries, the Soo Line Railroad and the Delaware & Hudson Railway. Between Chicago and Detroit, its freight trains ride on Norfolk Southern trackage. In 1984, CP founded the Soo Line Corporation to control the CP itself. In 1985, the Soo Line purchased the estates and assets of the bankrupt Milwaukee Road and absorbed it a year later. The Soo Line was usurped by Canadian Pacific in 1990.
