Sennheiser Momentum 3: is this still worth it?

Momentum 3 is on sale, so I decided to grabbed one for myself. In this unboxing and long term review, I'll be comparing my PXC 550 ii to this Momentum 3 and will give my honest opinion of which headphones you should consider. if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to comment; I would do my best to answer them as much as I can.

I used the PXC 550 (1st generation) for some years now, but the power switching mechanism was unreliable in the end (not always powering on, sometimes suddenly turning off during a call). So I needed to upgrade and was considering the Momentum 3, along with the B&W PX7 and the Technics EAH-A800. I couldn't decide, waited some time, considered the B&W PX7 S2 and the Momentum 4, and finally ordered the latter! It's almost like Sennheiser listened to you (and me): The M4 are almost the perfect blend of the two! They combine the best aspects of the sound of the M3 and the PXC 550, have great ANC and battery life, and come with a hard case!

I have to admit, I liked the M3's design and build more, but I also appreciate the touch operation and I really didn't want to compromise on battery life and ANC. Between the M4, M3 and the PX7 S2, I can't decide which sounds best for me. I prefer the M4's bass tuning, the PX7 S2's mids, and I think the M3 are just in the middle once you activate High End Sound Tuning.

I also always liked the PXC 550 and preferred their sound over the PX7 (1st generation) and any Sony or Bose. But in direct comparison, I think the M4 are a massive improvement in terms of sound quality! Sadly, the M4 can't match the PXC 550 in terms of comfort. The M4's earcups are shallower so that my ears slightly touch the drivers, and the bigger weight shows as pressure on my head. But it's still okay, I'll get used to it. I don't really mind that the M4 don't fold, the case is only slightly bigger than the one of the PXC 550, and it's easier to get them in.

Have you already tried the M4? What are your thoughts, especially compared to the other two?

Feels like the Momentum 4 are just around the corner. Even though I'm concerned with Sennheiser now being owned by a hearing aid company.

Honestly I am the most interested in these because of their design.
I never had over ear headphones but I’ve gotten interested in hearing something Better than AirPods and i am impressed by the AN of the AirPods Pro of my brother.
Also the preview of the new version look extremely disappointing. I am gonna wait for the full showcase but I am not excited. At least I’m gonna get them cheaper than the new ones
