Do You think Olympic athletes face more pressure and danger than athletes in other situations??

3:31 That skier gave his life not to hurt dumb ass people blocking his feat to the line, who then proceed to say he wasn’t experienced enough.

I feel so bad for Richard Jewel. He should’ve been hailed as a hero but instead he’s known by some, still to this day, as someone who had something to do with the bombings and for other people he’s just a punchline. He literally saved lives and protected so many people but never got the true recognition that he deserved

The militants were brought to justice?!?! They did a week per person they killed. I know europe isn't as strict on sentences as the us, but that's not exactly what I'd call justice.

Richard Jewell sued insinuating media and won some, then died at 44, RIP Richard.

Ok the last bit about 1972 annoys me. If you can't say words like Israel and Palestine out loud (bc censorship) then at least make it more clear that the terrorist attack had to do with the Middle Eastern conflict. The way you framed this implies that it had more to do with the tensions about Germany hosting again after WW2. For people who don't know the details of the incident, this is confusing and misleading, as if those "militants" were Germans who had it out for the Israeli athletes.

I was at the 1996 Olympics, had been at that park but left 1 day earlier. Richard Jewell was doing his job, see something, say something, and he was treated horrifically. RIP Richard.

The first one really reminds me of the crap that happens during the Tour de France, where spectators have literally no limits at multiple points in the race. The race points to "tradition", which is crap. You tell me that what happens when Pogacar is climbing solo for a win, when spectators can literally breath in his face is normal. If an NFL fan even decides to run onto the field, that dude is hardcore tackled and arrested. It's amazing the Tour has yet to do anything about it, even when Pogacar and Vingegaard had chips thrown in their faces this year 🤦‍♂️

I was working the morning of the Munich disaster. I came home and immediately turned the TV on, I could not believe what happened. Killing unarmed men, how absolutely dreadful. As for the skiing tragedy, surely the officials should have made the people move.

I hope Richard Jewel got paid. To this day, i remember his name, but I couldn't remember the actual perpetrator, Rudolph. The media really screwed him.

I’m not sure why the fact that the Munich hostage situation was a targeted attack by Palestinian terrorists against Israeli athletes wasn’t mentioned in the story. I get that you don’t want to turn this video into something political but these are important facts that give context. You mentioned the countries that were involved in every other story. 🇮🇱

The AI-generated crowds in the downhill skiing segment are creepy, but I do like the one person who looks like a cat wearing sunglasses. Then there's a red circle around a 4-man bobsled accident in the first segment about luge racing and other still pics of bobsleds. The voiceover pronounces "luger" with a hard G like the gun manufacturer instead of the J-like pronunciation in the sport even though he gets it right when it's just "luge."

Munich massacre, terrorist attack on Israeli Olympic team members at the 1972 Summer Games in Munich orchestrated by affiliates of the Palestinian militant group Black September. The Munich Games marked the first return of the Olympics to a German city since the 1936 Games in Berlin.
11 Israelis were murdered 6 Israeli coaches, 5 israeli athletes 1 West German police officer.
Since you left out some important key points, I fixed it for you. Did you really think people who watched this wouldn't know what really happened. You should be ashamed of yourself for trying to erase History.
FYI the Mossad, help eradicate all those terrorist who help plan & participated in the attack it took 20 yrs to get them all.

Wow.... I cannot believe that a top tier athlete could lose there life by smashing into an exposed steel beam sitting just centimeters away from a high speed event like luge... 😮😢
