AlgoForce E1500 - all about coils

Chatting about various coil options on the E1500 detector. We also test them on three different targets to see how they compare.

Target 1 - a very prickly 0.085g gold piece that is not very detectable. I only try bundle wound coils on this piece, for a level playing field.

Target 2 - a squashed 0.22g lead in some more mineralised ground.

Target 3 - a wedge shaped 0.32g gold nugget

Remember, an undisturbed target can often be found deeper due to a "halo" that builds up around the target, making the target appear bigger than it actually is.

If just looking at mono coils under 1000 grams, there are over 20 x options available for the E1500 (some are no longer available new).

G' day Nenad, thanks for the informative comparison, they take quite awhile to put together, am impressed with the 14x9, it always worked well on
the 5000 and the 12x8 is another coil worth putting in time with.

What impressed me Nenad when I received mine 2 days ago I put the sadie on it adjusted threshold, volume, gain 18 and it detected a flat .003 tibooburra nugglet inside the house😮❤

I have put my name on the waiting list. I didn’t have a coil so I went out and bought a 14x9 coiltek elite. Not my first choice but I didn’t want it to arrive and I didn’t have a coil to put on. The coils you chose seem a bit old school to me. I bow to your greater experience but I would think flat wound coils would be the go to for a modern machine. I have a 6000 so a bit spoiled I guess. Looking forward to this machine as my experimental machine with target id for some trashy areas I have walked away from. I thought about buying a manticore but I am a sucker for all things new.

Olá Nenad, comprei um gpx 5000 e até hoje só encontrei uma pepita de um grama e um décimo! E assim porque estava rasa. E aqui na minha região, às pepitas são na maioria subgramas. O que devo fazer? Será que precisarei de uma 6000? Ou se eu comprar uma bobina mais pequena, eu conseguirei encontrar ouro? Minha menor bobina é uma elite de 11. Lembrando que aqui o solo é severo.

I’m a beach detectorist and am going to buy this detector to try at various gold fields. If you could pick one coil to buy which one would you recommend?

My thoughts are with the 14x9 but that is only after watching this clip.

Great test vid Nenad - an good entry level detector km thinking ? would have been nice with 12in elite or 15in Coiltek to try but a shame. didn't try GPZ with 12in NF ?

Its good 😊 handles emi better and quieter on ground too it could actually replace the machine i have....
