This is so helpful. I've recently realized how blocked I've becme by indecision -- about small and big things. It's paralyzing. This approach of getting out of the head and finding the middle is so helpful. I appreciate that you're not just saying "What does your gut tell you?" -- but instead giving us tools to get to that answer.

Couldn't this go both ways. Let's say we are in a highly anxious state, it makes it very difficult to make even the simple decisions, which can lead to self defeating thoughts, lowered self esteem and then depression. For example, I am so anxious, " ugh why cant i make up my mind, im so dumb, this should be so easy, why dont i know what i want, i just cant do it, " these thoughts and more then create more anxiety and increase the flight or fight response and if it isn't brought into awareness and delt with, accepted, let go of then it can lead to depression as these continued patterns of thinking and acting decrease self-trust and confidence over time. It can lead to the belief that I can not make decisions, i can not trust my own decision making process etc.

Indecision does not necessarily stem from inner conflict. It can be driven by a fear of failure: a fear of making the wrong decision.
And intense anxiety can be paralysing.

Procrastination is putting off things that you know are advantageous to you. If they were not, it would be a simple question of not feeling like it.

Underlying procrastination is probably mostly again fear of failure.
Putting off going to bed might be related to guilt feelings of not having done yet that day what was planned.
Watching television is then an attempt to avoid the guilt feelings. It's a distraction.

Of course, we are alwsys fred to hypnotise ourselves into believing we have a lazy part that goes for instant gratification that is battling with a rational judgemental part.
Hypothising a false dilemma won't serve us very well in the long run.

Like usually all the options come out as none of them are good or i am close to both of them..

But changing them to ..
Both of them are goor or i am open to both of them, really makes the change

Wow. Absolutely amazing video. This "peace mindset" you refer to is something I've been looking for in time. This video got me thinking about how these ideas could be applied to alcoholism and addiction. To make a decision, etc. I wish you make a video about the topic. Thanks for the great content!

Speaking from a purely practical perspective, he shouldn't do medicine unless he is passionate about it.
Most university studies require a significant amount of effort and hardship already, and it's really hard to get your brain to pay attention and learn something that it doesn't care about.
Compound that with medicine, one of the most demanding degrees in terms of effort and study hours, and you'll get a high chance of self-sabotage and therefore wasting money and precious years for absolutely nothing.
Maybe they could meet half way by studying mechanical engineering.

In my opinion, the three things that cause the most psychological stress are: indecisiveness, lying and false identification.

So make choices and stick with them, don’t lie (especially to yourself), and don’t view yourself through a false lense (true experience is the greatest teacher)
