Farmer on the Prairie is about my life on our central Illinois farm. My name is Seth and I am a young farmer with the desire to get things done and to keep the farm running smoothly. The farm is 740 row crop acres and 100 acres of pasture. We run about 100 grass-fed cattle and 1500 meat birds a year. Throughout my videos, you will get to know Dad, MommaD, and Sister. My brothers Josiah and Luke help us whenever there is a big project so they can feel important. We also have a part time employee Ben who is the comic relief. Seth I am so surprised how well that Dog house has turned out, to be designed, cut out and built by someone so young is something to be real proud of. WOW! Great job on the dog house! That things nicer than some of the places I've called home! That gismo for burying the dog fence line sure looked like it saved you a lot of grunt work. Is it that all Pennsylvania girls can paint trim that fast or is it just that Momma D is especially talented? Thanks for raising your kids right Momma D! In today's upside down world, its easy to see what happens when children don't have a strong family to guide them.

I agree with Mike Stanley, (below) Three 1/8" (3mm) weep holes drilled at the bottom of the interior dog door sill will drain any water collected to the outside. Drill them at a slight downward angle to promote drainage. Thanks for the video. Jon

What a fantastic job you have done on the dog palace. Love the inside kennels. You may need to put a “lid” on top of Cesar’s pen when any of the girls are in heat...he can probably crawl out when the “desire” hits him🙄. You have done such a good job and Momma D has been such a help with the painting. Great family on the prairie, sure do enjoy the videos.

Momma D really is a great painter. Happy Fathers Day to Daddy D by the way. I hate when a nail goes awry and messes up the trim. Momma D hid the boo boo, we will not tell anyone. Still wish you would let us watch you work, like when you welded the brackets for the dog pens. The dogs will have a great place to live. Thanks for sharing.

I was so glad to hear that you gave the dogs plenty of room to roam. Throughout this doghouse project I was worried that your dogs would be converted from happy farm animals into unhappy caged animals.
