the Wahl 5* Legend "0-gapped" gets that line out!
It's lighter, v9000 motor as well, and alot cheaper on the pocket

I see a lot of people asking why didn't he put a fade blade on the Seniors, it had one on it already, the black seniors and sterling seniors come with fade blades and they're already zero gapped unlike the grey seniors

Andis Master beveled (top) stationary blade with a Fade Master (bottom) cutting blade is the best combination I have come across. Zero gap'd I can get any line out with this setup. I also use a Phat Master so I really don't use guards much unless I need to go longer in which case I use my Topaz.

I was laughing at the stuff that he was saying in the video, because what he was saying about the Andis Master is true. I used to cut with the Wahl Desiger in the mid 90"s, and you could buy a pair for 35.00 at your local nice size beauty supply store.. (Sallys was a little more). They cut good, and I got the Andis Master and you had to be careful, because you have less room for error, and you could snatch somebody's hair off if you were not careful, like he said in the video. I'm a old school barber getting back into it after been gone for 17 years. Great video.

I'm a professional barber, and I agree that both andis and wahl's are great clippers. However, my wahl 5 star seniors definitely cut a detailed precised blend. The fact that when you open the blade and it only opens to a 1/2 at a time means that you're going to get a super detailed fade. You can definitely get it with a andis fade blade but the blade tends to get stuck in pores at time because it's so sharp. I work at a busy shop, so when I'm trying to get through a load of customers, I go at a 50/50 ratio of quality vs speed. Fade blades suck. You can't even fit regular guards on there. I actually prefer the original andis master blade. Anyway, I prefer the wahl for a precise, defined, stand out haircut. But, to each their own.

I use the Senior daily and it gets out the line of an andis trimmer quite easily. As of late I have been using the Andis speed master two wich gives the same cut as the andis master but is a much light clipper and dosen't get hot as fast. Just food for thought. Thanks for the video. KEEP UP THE SOLID WORK.

I started out with wahl senior out of Barber school but once I got hold of the andis fade I was hooked no going back. I have alot of versatility with the fade master.

Great video. Thank you. Am 41 years and I need a clipper for myself just to cut my hair slow to look good and I have 3 Youngs boys that I would also use it for. I saw : (1) Wahl Senior, 8500 and (2) Wahl Five Star Senior, 8545. WHAT WILL YOU RECOMMEND FOR ME? and what is the likely Price and where to get it. ?

I'd like to see you use the vintage Andis Master model M. they are a nice clipper and the blade is a lot sharper than the blades they use today. And I hope you can find some one to do the straight razor shave on. Barber love.

I'm just starting in barbering and use a wahl sterling 4, which I love, but getting those real close fades are what catches me out. It's annoying that andis and oster clippers are harder to find in Australia cos I'd love to get my hands on some and see the difference.

Fade Masters are the best way to go. If you are a good barber you can do a hole cut with just your masters i mean everything even the lining.

You gave a great description if each clipper very well overall you hit all the key spots. Can you tell me how the andis speed master works compared to these machines.

I have the Andis Master (same as Fade with different blade). I wish Andis made a comb attachment that clicked into a little groove like the Wahl system of comb fastening. I have the black Andis combs to do my sons hair and if I touch the comb tip against his head in the slightest bit the comb pops off the blade. Very annoying. Good job on the video.
