I cried SO MUCH watching the final episode of Queen Charlotte OMG. Brinsley’s dance scene oh my. And the final scene is just a treasure.

Reading recommendations: Quinn also did a quartet of books about the Smythe-Smiths. And I'm recommending again -- and while not historical romance, it is contemporary romance -- with the same snarky beginning-of-chapter commentary, the Sutton's Place romances by Shannon Stacey. Give the first one a try; a quick read. Now, HISTORICAL MYSTERY ROMANCE (slow burn) series, try Sherry Thomas's Charlotte Holmes, Deanna Raybourn's Veronica Speedwell, Julie McElwain's In Time series, and Andrea Penrose's Wrexford and Sloane.

Queen Charlotte was SO surprising and emotional ahhh i’ve loved it so much!! I’ve been in a historical romance withdrawal too after watching it and am considering reading the Bridgerton prequel series the Rokesby!

A lot of people online are saying that Queen Charlotte is their favorite Bridgerton season so far. I found it a hard watch initially and then on the rewatch, it was easier to see the beauty of things. All I can say about the last episode is wow—beautifully done!

As a historical romance lover, I highly recommend Danelle Harmon's DeMontfort series, and anything by Mimi Matthews ❤❤❤ oh! Also Evie Dunmore's series: Bringing Down the Duke, a Rogue of one's Own, Portrait of a Scotsman, and then the fourth one comes out this year. I also really enjoyed Lisa Kleypas's Ravenel series (all except the first one, oddly), which follows the Wallflower series.
