Suburban Distribution Company Showreel

It was early 1997, my current associate at that time Richard Evers and I both worked in the music industry and back then internet was still quite exotic, vinyl hardly existed anymore and business predominantly revolved around CD’s. We saw an opportunity for a distribution company that offered her services to the ‘harder’ music genres. Our dedication combined with some old-school guts ensured that not much later Suburban Distribution arose from the Dutch soil. The first labels that felt adventurous enough to collaborate with us were Nuclear Blast, Century Media, SPV and Massacre Records. After that many more followed.

Meanwhile the music business was promptly changing and so was Suburban. A wise man once said that ‘to stand still is to move backwards’, which I have always taken to heart. Because of that Suburban Distribution has rapidly changed to stay on top of the ever changing way of the music industry. The only thing that stays the same is the unrestrained passion for music that everyone at Suburban shares.
