If that drink sucks, you are definitely not scammed. Growing up I hated drinking all the herbal tea that my mom brewed for me. It's horrible! 😖😫

As an herbalist, medicine/tea doesn’t always taste good. Drink the tea. 🖤

He is checking one's pulse the Chinese way. I think it is 12 pulses for a cycle. When there is a stronger or weaker beat, He can tell which part of the body is ailing and makes a tea to help that part.

Traditional Chinese medicine isn’t a sudden cure all thing. Those tea won’t taste good and it should be a regular part of one’s lifestyle for the medicine to work. Like skincare, it takes a while to

Here in Singapore, traditional (Chinese medicine is the “cheaper” alternative to western medication and it fixes the issue rather than suppressing it.
But for $90 I’m pretty sure you are overcharged.
It would cost around 10-15USD here.

They can tell which elements you lack in your body by getting ur pulse. It all somehow makes since with the systems of the body. Idk too much about Chinese herbs but I know they work n the way they see the body and it's energy seems to make sense

Auyervedic medicine techniques are very similar. The pulse is a very important diagnostic tool. Each finger reads a different Dosha, which are the energies of the body. He is also likely visually diagnosing by observing the body structure and looking at the eyes. All of these tell so much about what is going on inside and that allows him to chose which herbs and spices will serve best

OK, but seriously that store is actually amazing. I’ve been going with my mom since I was 10. We always get medicinal herbs and teas. It’s like 2 or 3 blocks away from the train station in Chinatown

Seriously, drink it. If he gave you the ingredients list look it up to do what stuff does. If it taste like bitter trees and earthy, youre on the right track.

That tea will never taste good, but when I was a little boy my mom would reward me with a chunk of sugar crystal after drinking the whole bowl (even with the reward it was a horrible memory)

My Romani gramdma does this. When someone learns this. Its a long road. Almost like being a monk, or martial arts master. Anyway, there isnt a lot of us left in the world and my family, did learn it from an asian person long time ago. Its an interesting moment in life to actually experience. Yes, the herbs can be icky. But it depends on how long you leave it in the water. Gma usually seeps it for 3 to 6 hours before consuming. She prefers the oils over tea. I prefer tea over oil. Both have a bad and gross taste. Its best to have a chaser. I drink the coldest water i can, you know just before it turns to ice. It sooths the throat. Then i suck on a jolly rancher for the after taste. I suggest grape. Jas a medicine tasdte to it, any other flavor, kinda makes it worse. Anyway, tomorrow. More learning on reflexology. Gotta keep my husband walking.
