The Evolution of NBA Jerseys: A History of the Manufacturers

Since the inception of the National Basketball Association in 1946, the uniforms worn by players have gone through several changes and evolutions. In this video, we will take a look at the various manufacturers that have supplied NBA jerseys since 1985.

Champion became the official supplier of NBA jerseys in the 90s following an unsuccessful period of jerseys by sandkint. in the 1990s Nike, Puma and Starter all manufactured jerseys for NBA teams

In 2001, the NBA entered into a new partnership with Reebok, who became the official supplier of NBA jerseys until 2006. In 2006, the NBA announced that they would be switching to Adidas as the manufacturer of NBA jerseys.

In 2017, the NBA announced that they had signed a new partnership with Nike, who will once again become the official supplier of NBA jerseys starting in the 2021-2022 season.

Those 90's NBA jerseys are legendary great and still my favourites ever. Hawks, Super-Sonics, Pistons, Magic, Suns, Rockets, Jazz, Wizards, 76:ers and Bulls's 3rd = best jerseys ever !!!!
I swear, if I was to decide, these team would NEVER be allowed to change those logos and jerseys. Also I like the Cavaliers 2003-2010 design and logo.
Oh and screw those soccer jerseys. Hate to see t-shirts in PRO basketball. Its a no fit what-so-ever.
Oh-oh minimalistic design I DEEPLY DESPISE in all sports. I want to have attitude, pride and soul in it.
