Bower has done a tremendous service to the church and the academy. Both with benefit greatly from his careful scholarship. With Chad Van Dixhoorn, Dr. Bower is co-editor of Principal Documents of the Westminster Assembly published by Reformation Heritage Books. The Westminster Confession of Faith: A Critical Text and Introduction appears in that series.

There is a huge difference in Reformed doctrine and operations. I'm was raised in the Reformed Church in the United States and left because of the way the Classis and the Synod would just dictate and bully the local churches. The RCUS literally had to control everything that everyone did. So, I left and switched churches.
