10 Most Powerful Thor Villains Ranked

Thor is one of the strongest heroes in the Marvel universe, so it only makes sense that his villains are also impressively powerful. He is a God, after all, and you’d have to be pretty strong to compete with the power of a God. With a wide variety of enemies, including gigantic rage monsters fueled by vengeance, a suit of armor designed to take down space Gods, snakes who can disrupt the planet's weather systems with their massive size, and other deities with less-than-pure motivations, Thor certainly has his work cut out for him. But even with such an impressively powerful roster of villains, not all of Odinson’s enemies are created equal - there are those who clearly stand above the rest, and present a much greater threat to the God of Thunder.

With this video, we're going to be taking a look at who the toughest enemies of Thor are, including one who we'll see in live action this summer, when Thor: Love and Thunder releases, and ranking them to see who the strongest are. 10:27 Surtur is until nowdays my favorite villain that Thor has faced during the transition of the MCU. In fact, he was one of the most powerful beings during the Infinity Saga that could have stopped Thanos in his search of the infinity stones. But also, in the Norse mythology Surtur is one of the several beings and monsters to be prominently featured in the Ragnarok. Since he has a prominent role in the end of the world as the Vikings knew it. In that way, Surtur is usually viewed as the last, greatest, and insurmountable foe of the gods of Asgard and the heroes of Midgard. While Thor at least managed to kill Jörmungandr before falling victim to his venom, Surtur remains undefeated as he destroys the world. Because as in the Thor: Ragnarok movie, Surtur was destined to fulfill the prophecy of the Ragnarok.
