Damn !!! After all the work getting the parts for my PM. Lost every thing in the Sonoma County fires . Guess I’ll have to live my life vicariously through you now.

Great stuff Sam, I recently did a blind broach manually (using the lathe) and regretting that I didn't invest the time to use my CNC G0704. Awesome results.

Awesome! I've always wanted to try this. You achieved a great result.

Nice job again Sam, when your spindle head weights over 100 pounds taking a .001" cut like that with a head start there is not much load on the ball screw. Smaller machines with smaller ball screw might be challenged but planning ahead like you did by putting heavier 20mm ball screws in the build, not to mention the double ball nuts, it makes more things possible. Great job!!!

Perfect, my suggestion is to put 2 set screw side to keep Pauly secure .

That's awesome. I do think you should have taken the time to put a square hole in the shaft. It worked great for the aluminum pulley but if you use for steel I think the corners of your tool will start cutting into the hole causing it to loosen itself while broaching the harder materials. Your pulley came out great so maybe I'm just being too critical (wish I had thought of that).

Sam, how did you lock your spindle rotation during broaching? I've wanted to try this for a while but don't have a solution to lock the spindle rotation.
