I wonder if the guitar sample looping in Fort Minor's song "Kenji" was recorded in the same project they recorded this one in. I can imagine it as an idea someone in the band had, but they scrapped it in favor of this one. Then a year later during recording of The Rising Tied, mike just stumbles upon it.

Your lyrics kept my mind in the right place in many situations, you don’t have a clue on how big this music is for me. when my daddy died I was turning 12, your songs mixed the right amount of anger, pain, but also relief, kept me safe from going insane, I had a friend in those lyrics that knew exactly how I was feeling and every line written in your work spoke to me and told me that I was falling, that I was in pain and I was losing myself, and also that I must go on and free the pain to clean myself and start over again. I’m so thankful for all the Linkin park songs we have and the gems of demos being released but I have to admit.. every once in a while the thought creeps in of what could have been, all the future songs that could have been. I feel bad for even thinking about it but it makes me sad sometimes. Then again I’m forever grateful for the incredible years and the albums we have been blessed with that will be forever there.
