My darling dad passed away recently. Once we hold his memorial at our church, I will formally leave the CofE. Why because the CofE no longer serves God. I remember Bishop of York when he was an arch decon and there were issues he just swept away, then Bishop of Chelmsford he tried to bankrupt our church demanding yearly payments to Chelmsford we could not make. Oh dear😢

I live in France - our religious buildings are owned and maintained by the local Councils as historic heritage. My RC colleagues are horrified by the burden placed on congregations in England having to maintain historic buildings!

The church of England is not Christian anymore and Prince Charles is not a Christian

Churches and other places of worship are in danger of being neglected and it's one of those things which this current government has overreacted on. This undermines the Church of England all the more. It's a horrendous situation and a unhappy one.

Three huge managerial/structural problems for the C of E are: C of E Bishops are not accountable. If they are not honourable ( as in York ) as well the problem is vastly magnified ; Second issue is the lack of independance in Safeguarding; Third issue no employment protection for clergy. On top of that of course there is the lack of theoligical orthodoxy in our leadership.

We need a Bishop who loves this country, a patriot. It will not happen, and the CE is almost dead.

When one sees how those were named in the Makin report that had no power to act except report, which they did, lost their permission to officiate, the Archbishops feeble to act is and was garbage. Those who back him are like him who puts the laws and views of society ahead of God. The Archbishop likes his crown (mitre) and his throne (bishop's seat) and his ego will prevent him from resigning

Historical church buildings are one of the major drawcards keeping Anglicans in the C of E. If these are lost then a large reason is removed which had kept them from going to GAFCON.
