He had slain the Dragon of The Future, but as he opened the Chest of Ancient Knowledge for his gift of ultimate wisdom, he understood. His journey had been perilous, hard, frustrating, and he believed it was for a good cause; but he had lost himself on the way. Blinded with greed, poisoning his passion. A passion to fight for what was right: to be a champion of good. He now understood why his allies had left him, even his most trusted friend. In the run for power, he had pushed everyone away, hurting all his friends, believing they held him back. The dragon had protected this ancient knowledge and tried it’s best to keep it a secret, knowing that even though there are some people out there who have good intentions, humans being humans will fight for the rank of the best. There will always be a darkness in the light. However. There will always be a light in the darkness as well. Using his newfound intellect, he knew, he had the power to right his wrongs, and fix his mistakes. But as he traveled down the road, guilted bruised his heart, shame mocking him with every step he took. Yet he knew; not matter how much it hurt to continue, no matter how much he wanted to stop, he needed to fix what he had done. Because if he didn’t… *who would?…*
