It’s been over 4 years since Taylor Swift has performed at the VMA’s and we are so ready for her to take over this year with her big return to the VMA stage and her 10 nominations.

What’s up? It’s Sussan Mourad here with Clevver News and tomorrow is our girl Taylor Swift’s big return to the MTV VMA’s.

With a record-setting 10 nominations, it's no surprise that she will be taking the stage for her first major performance since her album Lover was released.

Which was un-freaking-believable, right Swifties?

And while it’s been a hot minute since Taylor performed at the VMA’s, some of her best performances ever have been on that stage, so join me as we take a stroll down memory lane.

Do you remember her very first VMA performance back in 2009?

True Swifties remember Taylor for this performance, not for you know… the other thing that happened at the 2009 VMAs.

Yeah that small little moment that no one has spoken about since…

HA just kidding.

Anyway, back to her performance that night, which was a seriously epic live rendition of “You Belong With Me.”

It started in a subway and ended with a huge block party in front of Radio City Music Hall.

Then just a couple years later in 2012, Taylor stole the show with a performance of one of my favorite songs of hers, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”

The song is off her album Red and her outfit was seriously fitting.

This was a simpler time and a simpler Taylor and I honestly can’t stop re-watching this performance.

And while Red era Taylor Swift is possibly my favorite, nothing compares to her 2014 VMA performance of “Shake It Off.”

Her lead single off the 1989 album was Taylor’s full shift into pop music and this performance fully embodied Taylor as a pop icon.

She wore a two piece sequin flapper girl outfit and the entire performance gave me 1920’s Great Gatsby vibes.

And while that was one of my favorite VMA performances of all time, Taylor’s most surprising VMA performance was in 2015 when she came out with Nicki Minaj and debunked any possible “bad blood” between them.

See what I did there?

Yeah, that was epic.

And I seriously can’t wait to see what song or songs she performs tomorrow.
