had to rewatch this episode purely for the pattern victorian crowns and 1847 gothic coinery collection pieces....the level of detail in the blouse or dress/lacework is breathtaking...all hand engraved...a real treat for the eyesunder a loop.

Some of those coins were absolutely incredible, that Victoria pattern coin is a stunner. I am really enjoying buying pre 1920 crowns at the moment, I think they are so lovely to hold. I can't afford the high grade ones at the mo, but perhaps in the future.

Stunning set of coins! The pattern florin is really interesting and the ex montagu precisely the type of coin that as you say has everything. For me that sort of provenance trumps anything the grade might convey in terms of desirability! Interesting to compare the modern restrikes taking center stage at the moment in price terms on likely the eve of royal mint 3 Graces release tomorrow, it just seems insane to me that the numismatic premium will outstrip many of these coins on the Day of release. Looking forward to seeing the madness, or not, tomorrow!! Thanks again for these videos great content

still strong the una and lion...im so glad i started my numismatic serious stacking with that silver 2 oz....what a fantastic journey its been. i cant see me investing anywhere else this year...other than gold and especially silver.

I've always loved the patterns as well as I remember briefly recoiling in horror when I saw prices realized at some of the Heritage auctions. These were prices for U.S. pattern coins which I'm sure are in the same ballpark pricewise as some of those British patterns. Also love the gilt coins; I may have to pick one of them up if the price is reasonable.

I’m curious did the large gold gilded Una and the lion medal get graded because I have a gold over silver they wouldn’t grade of the same design except the one I have is crown size
